The Metro Pipe negative note was the sharp drop suffered by Tom Dugan when he was on his first round. The American rider had to be rushed to hospital where he was accompanied to Sergio Layos, which host a grand gesture of camaraderie and competition left to be with Tom at a time so hard.
The drop came on the JumpBox where poor reception made Tom hit his head against the ground causing a total silence in a room packed with a crowd. Once in the hospital, after undergoing several tests, doctors had to induce a coma to stabilize his condition and that he had gone a neck vertebra and there was a danger that he suffered irreparable damage.
