""We are helping his family pay for a cremation. Randy is a native American and it is against the people’s traditions to have open caskets and people take pictures so his mom decided to do cremation based on this. There will be an official memorial at our local skate park “Alliance” in Grand Prarie, TX this Saturday from 1pm-3pm since we are already having a Game of BIKE contest that day at 3.
We are also trying to help his mom move from her apartment as it now holds too many sad memories. Another thing we will put extra money donated towards, is some sort of statue, headstone, plaque, plot etc. That way people have something tangible they can physically visit to pay respects. Randy always wanted people to remember him after he was gone and didn’t want to be just another person who gets talked about 1 week and forgotten the next, so that is why we want something for people to see and touch and leave flowers and such at. We are also trying to get some embossed rubber band bracelets as well, but they probably won’t be available until next week some time.
Also this is the link to the facebook event page for Saturday.
We would also like to thank everyone who have posted positive things towards Randy, his family, and us (his close friends). But as Gaz said on ESPN “We are beyond devastated, I have no idea how to deal with this. All I ask is that you remember Randy for all his awesome riding. Just let us, his close friends and family grieve in our own time,”
I would like to thank all of you so much for your support, it really means a lot for us,""
